FieldFaktor is inspection documentation for contractors: document property damage on site, keep every photo labeled and organized, and generate homeowner-ready reports from what you captured. This article shows you the shape of the product so the rest of the help center makes sense.

The two places you work#

The field app at field.fieldfaktor.com is where inspections happen. You create projects, walk the property with Guided Capture, answer the Interview and Closing questions, and generate reports from your phone. It runs in a mobile browser, but the live camera works only in the FieldFaktor iOS app — install it on your iPhone or iPad for the full capture experience. Capture keeps working with no signal and syncs when you are back in coverage.

The dashboard at app.fieldfaktor.com runs in any browser and holds the office work: the company projects list, team invitations and permissions, company settings and report letterhead, and billing for project credits. The Owner runs billing and access from here.

Three deliverables every project can produce#

  • FieldFaktor Inspection Report — your findings and recommendations in a structured document, delivered as a DOCX plus a PDF view.
  • FieldFaktor Photo Report — every labeled inspection photo, organized by area, as a PDF.
  • Hail Report by HailBrief — address-specific hail history for the property, ordered automatically and at no extra charge the moment the project is created, delivered where HailBrief has coverage.

One tap of Generate report on the project's Report Review tab produces both FieldFaktor reports in the cloud; they land in the project's Documents tab, typically within a minute or two. The Hail Report needs no ordering at all — its data reads on the Weather tab, and its PDF lands in Documents as well.

One account everywhere#

The same email and password sign you in to the field app and the dashboard. Create your account once and you are set up in both places.
