When you create a project with a property address, FieldFaktor orders an address-specific hail history from HailBrief in the background — automatically, at no charge, wherever HailBrief has coverage. There is no order button and nothing to remember; this article covers how the data arrives and how to read it.
How the Hail Report arrives#
- Create the project with a property address.
- Keep working — HailBrief pulls the hail history on its own.
- When it completes, a green banner appears over the project: HailBrief is ready for your customer's name. Tap View Weather to open it.
- The Hail Verification Report PDF lands in the Documents tab under Uploaded Documents — also automatic. See Documents and upload links.
Reading the Weather tab#
Open the project and tap the Weather tab.
- Date of damage card — when the project has a date of damage, a verdict statement for that date leads the tab, with a confidence percentage.
- Summary tiles — Hail days, Ground confirmed, and Largest at location for the property.
- Hail history table — one row per storm day, newest first, with estimated hail size At site and within 1 mi, 3 mi, and 5 mi. A green ✓ means hail was reported on the ground that day, not estimated by radar alone, and an accent bar marks the date of loss. Tap a row to jump to its footprint map — maps are available for storms since October 2020; older storm days show their sizes in the table only.
- Hail footprint — a map render of each mapped storm's footprint over the property.
If the tab is not showing data yet#
The Weather tab tells you exactly where things stand:

| "Could not reach HailBrief. This will retry next time you open the tab." | A temporary connection issue. Reopen the tab later. |
Weather in your generated reports#
The hail findings feed the FieldFaktor Inspection Report's weather section directly — no copying required. When HailBrief confirms a hail event for the date of damage, that section is retitled Verified Weather Event, and the hail report is listed among the report's enclosures as Weather Report (HailBrief address-specific hail report).
