Detached garages, fences, pools, and the homeowner's damaged belongings are all documented on the Inspection tab — structures under Other Structures, belongings under Personal Property. This article covers adding and photographing both.
Add a structure#
- On the Inspection tab, open Other Structures.
- Tap + Add Structure.
- Pick a type from the Structure type sheet: Building, Awning, Fence, Pool, Landscape, or Other.
Each structure appears as a card showing its name, type, and status — Not started until it has photos, then its photo count. The ⋯ menu on a card offers Rename, Move Up, Move Down, and Delete.
Fences#
Open a fence to set its type and photograph each run.
- Fence Type — Wood Privacy, Vinyl, Chain Link, Aluminum, Wrought Iron, or Other. The Type: toggle switches between Same (one type for the whole fence) and Per run (each side picks its own).
- Run tabs — Front, Right, Back, and Left. A small dot marks the runs you have already worked.
- Each run has an Overview photo row and a Close-up photo row. A close-up opens the labeling view with None preselected — pick the condition it shows: None, Hail, Spatter, Wind, Cosm. Hail, Rot, Wear/Tear, or Prior Repair.
- + Add run note adds optional context to the run.
Buildings#
A Building gets the full dwelling-style flow: Roof, the Front, Right, Back, and Left elevations, and Interior — including floors and rooms, exactly as on the main dwelling. See Interior rooms.
Record damage on a building and the Closing tab expects a supporting photo for it before the report — see Closing and Final Pass.
Personal property#
Personal property is photo-first: the picture comes before the details.
- Open Guided Capture and switch the capture area to Personal Property.
- Tap Add Item, then take the photo.
- The item sheet opens over the camera:
- Item description — for example "Sony 65-inch TV".
- Qty.
- A damage pill: Hail, Wind, Cosmetic Hail, Wear, Mechanical, Prior, Water, None, or Other.
- Project related? — Yes or No.
- Optional notes, behind + Notes.
- Tap Save item — or Label later to keep shooting and fill in the details afterward.
Every saved item gets its own entry in the camera with an Add Photo chip for more angles.
Where these print#
Structures and personal property print in both reports — the FieldFaktor Inspection Report and the FieldFaktor Photo Report, produced together by one Generate report action on the Report Review tab. See Generate reports.
