The Projects tab at app.fieldfaktor.com lists every project you can see, one row each. This article covers reading the table, finding a project, the row actions, bulk actions, and archiving.

Reading the table#

Each row shows:

  • Project Type — a Wind, Hail, or Wind/Hail pill
  • A Street View thumbnail of the property
  • Homeowner
  • Project #
  • Address
  • Assigned To — the team member's name, or Unassigned. Owners see an orange Assign button on unassigned rows.

Click anywhere on a row to open the project's workspace. The + New Project button above the table adds a project — see Create and assign projects.

Search and sort#

  • The search box — Search homeowner or project # — matches the homeowner's name, the Project #, the Claim #, and the assigned team member's name.
  • The sort menu offers Created (Newest) (the default) and Homeowner (A-Z).
  • If nothing matches, the table shows "No projects match the current search."

Expand a row#

Click the arrow at the left edge of a row to preview a project without leaving the list. The expanded panel shows Project Details (Project #, Claim #, Address, Project Type, Date of Event), Homeowner (Name, Phone, Email), and Notes, with buttons for Open Project, Call, Text, Email, and Navigate.

The row menu (⋯)#

The ⋯ button at the right end of each row opens the action menu:

  • View — opens the workspace.
  • Assign / Reassign — Owners only; hands the project to a team member.
  • Call and Text — appear when the homeowner has a phone number on file; Email appears when there is an email address.
  • Navigate — opens driving directions to the property in Google Maps.
  • Share — adds the project to teammates' project lists.
  • Archive / Restore — see below.

Sharing is visibility, not a lock#

Share opens a list of your teammates with a Share toggle next to each. Sharing puts the project on that teammate's list so they can find it — it does not restrict anyone else or transfer responsibility. To make one person responsible for the project, use Assign instead. See Create and assign projects.

Act on several projects at once#

Tick the checkboxes at the left of the rows you want. A bar appears showing how many are selected — for Owners, and for team members the Owner has granted archive (delete) permission — with Assign N (Owners; the button reads Reassign N when any selected project is already assigned), Archive N, and Clear. In the Archived view the same bar offers Restore N.

Archive and restore#

Archive takes a project off the list when the work is done. Nothing is deleted — photos, reports, and history stay exactly as they are.

  1. Open a row's ⋯ menu and choose Archive — the project is archived immediately (it is reversible). To archive several at once, select rows, click Archive N, and confirm in the Archive projects dialog.
  2. To see archived projects, click the Archived (N) button in the toolbar — it appears once at least one project is archived.
  3. To bring a project back, open its ⋯ menu in the Archived view and choose Restore, then click ← Back to projects.

Owners can always archive; team members can when the Owner grants them delete permission.
