The Photo Review tab shows every photo and video on a project in one grid. In the By area view the photos follow the same order the FieldFaktor Photo Report will print. Review here before you generate, and anything you fix flows straight into the report.

Three ways to view#

Photo Review has three views — switch between them any time:

  • By area — photos grouped by where they were taken: roof, elevations, interior, and so on. General photos trail at the end under General — unfiled, and Videos is always the last group.
  • By visit — one section per trip, labeled with the visit type and date, such as Inspection — First visit or Completion — Aug 26.
  • Before / After — each completion photo beside the damage photo it answers. This view stays disabled ("No completion photos yet") until at least one completion photo exists. After shots whose slot never had a damage photo appear under No before photo.

Pinch the grid or use the thumbnail-size buttons to resize tiles.

Reading the tiles#

Badges and chips on the tiles tell you where each photo stands:

  • Damage — the photo carries a project-related damage label, such as hail or wind.
  • Unlabeled — an inspection photo sits in a slot that expects a damage label but has none yet. Tap it and pick a label.
  • At the largest tile size, each photo the report includes shows its report-order number — the numbers match the FieldFaktor Photo Report exactly.
  • Photos the report leaves out show a chip instead of a number: After (completion), General, or Video.

Edit a photo#

Tap any photo to open the Edit Photo panel:

  1. Damage — change the damage label with one tap on a pill.
  2. Project related? — mark whether the photo's finding belongs to this project: Yes, No, or (on interior photos) Unknown.
  3. Description — the caption the report prints. A badge shows AUTO while FieldFaktor builds it from your labels; typing anything flips it to CUSTOM. Tap ↻ Auto to snap back to the auto-built caption.
  4. Use the action bar for Rotate, Markup (draw circles, arrows, and text on the photo), or Delete, then tap Save.

General photos get one extra control here: the Include in photo report toggle. As the hint says, "General photos stay out of every report unless this is on."

File general photos into the inspection#

General photos are unfiled site-condition shots. To move one into the damage story:

  1. Tap Select (or long-press a tile), then tap the general photos to file.
  2. Tap File to… and pick the section, then the item, in the two-step sheet.
  3. Pick the damage label and confirm the caption — the same labeling step a fresh capture gets.

You can also work from the other direction: every item card in the inspection flow has an attach-existing button that opens your general photos so you can pull one into that slot. Videos cannot be filed — they stay in the Videos group.

Download everything#

Tap Download All Photos to save a zip of every photo on the project — useful for handing raw photos to the insurance company or archiving the project outside FieldFaktor.

When the grid looks right, head to Closing and Final Pass and then generate the reports. Need more captures first? Reopen Guided Capture.
