Every inspection starts with a project. Creating one takes two required fields and lands you straight in the project workspace, with a Hail Report already ordering itself in the background.

Open the New project sheet#

  1. Tap the + button in the center of the bottom navigation. It is available wherever the bottom bar shows — the Projects screen and the Account screen. Inside a project, tap ← Projects first.

The New project sheet slides up.

Fill in the project#

  1. Enter the Homeowner name (required).
  2. Enter the Property address (required). The field is a type-ahead — start typing and pick the address from the suggestions so it geocodes cleanly.
  3. Add a Phone and Email if you have them. They power the call and text icons on the project card and let you send upload links later.
  4. Add a Project number if your company uses its own numbering. It is optional, shows as the # on the project card, and must be unique.
  5. Set the Date of damage (optional) and Damage type. The date of damage highlights the matching storm event on the Weather tab.
  6. Add any Notes.
  7. Tap Create project.

The app opens the new project's workspace, ready for Details and the Interview.

If something goes wrong#

  • Leaving either required field blank shows "Homeowner name and property address are required." Fill both in and try again.
  • A Project number that another project already uses shows "That project number is already in use." Pick a different number, or leave the field blank.
  • With no connection you get "You appear to be offline. Reconnect and try again." Creating a project needs a connection — but once the project exists, capture and inspection answers work offline and sync when you reconnect. See Working offline.
